Man's search for meaning : the classic tribute to hope from the Holocaust Ein Psycholog erlebt das Konzentrationslager. From death-camp to existentialism. / by Viktor E Frankl; Illse Lasch ; Harold S. Kushner - London : Rider, 2008. - 154 pages ; 18 cm

Part one translated by Ilse Lasch.
Originally published in 1946 under the title: Ein Psycholog erlebt das Konzentrationslager ; original English title was: From death- camp to existentialism.

The author was able to observe the way that he and other inmates coped with the experience of being in Auschwitz. He noticed that it was the men who comforted others and who gave away their last piece of bread who survived the longest. It offers us all a way to transcend suffering and find significance in the art of living.
